Manors and longères, two hours from Paris by TGV

Rennes is the easiest Breton city to marry in: two hours from Paris by train, a compact old town, and manor houses within twenty minutes of the station.

        The city

Half-timbered streets around the place Sainte-Anne, the Parlement de Bretagne, and the Thabor gardens — one of the best couple-session parks in western France, and free to walk into.

        Around the city

Manors and longères ring Rennes on every side, most of them family properties that host a handful of weddings a year. The Emerald Coast is an hour north, the Morbihan gulf an hour and a half south. More on Brittany.

        Coverage

Same approach as everywhere: documentary, handheld, no staging beyond the family portraits you ask for. Travel from Paris quoted at cost.

        Coverage starts at €2,900.

        Frequently asked questions

How long does it take you to reach Rennes?

Two hours by TGV from Paris Montparnasse. For a Saturday wedding I usually travel the day before.

Do you know the venues around Rennes?

Several, and for the ones I do not I ask for a thirty-minute scouting visit at roughly the hour of your ceremony.

Can you photograph in the Thabor gardens?

Yes, handheld. It is public, free and one of the best-kept parks in Brittany.
