Wedding photography in Paris — your questions
How much does a wedding photographer in Paris cost?
My full-day editorial coverage starts at €2,900. That includes eight to fourteen hours of presence, the complete edited reportage, a private online gallery and delivery within eight weeks. A fine art print box is available in the larger collections. Full detail on the investment page.
How many photographs will we receive?
Between five hundred and eight hundred images for a full day, edited and colour-graded, with no duplicates and no filler. I deliver the reportage, not the contact sheet.
When will we receive the photographs?
Within eight weeks of the wedding. A preview set of thirty to fifty images arrives within ten days so you have something to share while the full edit is being made.
Do you speak English?
Yes. Roughly half the couples I work with are not French-speaking. The whole process — first call, contract, planning, delivery — runs in English if you prefer.
Do you pose the couple?
No, not in the traditional sense. I work documentary: I follow the day as it happens and I look for the light rather than building it. For the couple session I give direction — where to walk, where to stand — and then step back and let the two of you be together.
Do you photograph the family group portraits?
Yes, and I recommend planning them. A list of eight to twelve groups, twenty minutes, one person from each family who knows everyone by name. Done properly it is painless. Done improvised it eats an hour of your cocktail.
What happens if you are ill on the day?
I carry professional insurance and I am part of a network of Paris photographers of the same standard who cover for one another. In eleven years it has not happened, but the arrangement exists and is written into the contract.
Do you work with a second photographer?
By default I work alone, which is what allows me to be as discreet as I am. A second photographer is available as an option and makes sense above roughly one hundred and fifty guests, or when the preparations happen in two separate locations.
How far in advance should we book?
Twelve to eighteen months for a Saturday between May and September. I take a limited number of weddings each year so those dates close early. Winter and weekday dates are usually available much later.
Do you travel outside Paris?

Do we own the photographs?
You receive a personal-use licence covering printing, sharing and social media with no time limit. I retain authorship, and I ask before using any image professionally if you have requested discretion.
How do we book?
Send a message through the enquiry page with your date and venue. If the date is free we speak by video call, then a contract and a thirty percent deposit hold the date.
